CDF Syndrome - Chronic Disease Fatigue syndrome

Syndrome: a group of symptoms which consistently occur together, or a condition characterized by a set of associated symptoms. A characteristic combination of opinions, emotions, or behavior.

I coined the phrase “chronic disease fatigue syndrome” a few years back to describe what Becky and I were feeling. I think it fits our experience, and the experience of many who are dealing with any kind of chronic medical condition. We’ve been at this 30 years (Becky has survived 3 rounds of cancer and the ‘fallout’ from chemo and radiation, including advance heart failure). The fatigue can set in well before that! And this applies to a wide variety of medical conditions, and will affect both the person who has the health condition, and their caregiver (especially if that person is a family member).
